Lilith è la prima donna creata da dio, creata della stessa terra da cui è stato creato l' uomo. In quanto sua pari non si è voluta sottomettere all' uomo durante il rapporto sessuale e così fuggi dal paradiso terrestre rifugiandosi sulle sponde del Mar Rosso. Lì si unì ad alcuni demoni e generò dei figli. Adamo la rivolle indietro, così dio mandò tre angeli a recuperarla, ma lei non volle e per punizione vennero uccisi tutti i suoi figli.

Si pensa che Lilith, per vendicarsi, si sia introdotta nel giardino dell' Eden sotto forma di serpente e abbia così iniziato Eva ai segreti del sesso.
